King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised Kimberly-Clark Australia Pty Ltd (KCA) on the outsourcing of its Australian distribution network to Toll Transport Pty Ltd (Toll).
Transfer of the operations will be staged over the next five years, resulting in Toll handling the distribution for both KCA's consumer and B2B brands across its five Australian warehouses under a master services agreement.
The KWM team advising on the deal was led by Scott Bouvier and Katie Lewis, working closely with KCA's legal and commercial teams led by George Papanikitas and Simon Rowe, respectively.
Commenting on the transaction, Scott and Katie said: "The Australian supply chain is currently undergoing massive amounts of innovation and disruption, and we are pleased to help Kimberly-Clark be at the forefront of those changes".
