King and Wood Mallesons (KWM) is pleased to have advised Perth Airport on its agreement with Accor to bring the first hotel to the Perth Airport Central Precinct.

The 5-Star hotel is part of Perth Airport’s recently announced AU$5bn development programme which will also deliver a new world-class Qantas domestic and international terminal as well as ground transport infrastructure.

Together with CBRE Hotels, KWM acted as joint exclusive advisors to successfully select Accor as the hotel operator and negotiate the Hotel Management Agreement under the Pullman brand. Accor’s Pullman brand is the largest and fastest growth premium hotel brand in the market, and Pullman Perth Airport will mark the 3rd Pullman airport hotel in Australia, alongside Pullman Sydney Airport and Pullman Brisbane Airport.

KWM also assisted Perth Airport with the structuring arrangements in respect of the ownership and operation of the hotel and is continuing to assist Perth Airport with the negotiation of the agreements with Accor required to deliver the hotel development.

The KWM team was led by Partner Carl Black with support from Senior Associate Matthew Wilson.

Commenting on the deal, Carl Black said:

"We are delighted to have worked with Perth Airport alongside our joint advisors CBRE Hotels to achieve this significant agreement. We look forward to seeing the opportunities that Pullman Perth Airport will bring to Perth consumers and tourism – especially in this increased travel period post covid”.

Pullman Perth Airport is scheduled to open in late 2027.
