King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has appointed Partner Dale Rayner to its Banking & Finance practice.

Dale will join KWM's Sydney office from Norton Rose Fulbright where he was trusted adviser to a strong and diverse client base of leading financial institutions and banks, specialising in Asset and Structured Finance. Prior to joining Norton Rose Fulbright, Dale was Associate Director, Asset & Structured Finance with HSBC in Hong Kong and Vice President for Societe Generale in Hong Kong and London. His extensive Asian connections and experience will be invaluable in the further development of KWM's regional offering.

Berkeley Cox, Chief Executive Partner Australia said: "We are thrilled to have someone of Dale's caliber joining the firm. His wealth of legal and commercial expertise and his preeminent international reputation are a compelling offering for clients and will complement our existing capability as we continue to grow our B&F practice in both Australia and Asia."

Dale's appointment was effective from January 2018.
