King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised Queensland Museum to ensure the successful arrival of its latest and largest ever exhibition, NASA – A Human Adventure.

The most comprehensive touring space flight exhibition in the world, NASA – A Human Adventure showcases 250 historically significant artefacts from the US and USSR space programs, including space suits, rocket engines, and full scale replicas of iconic space crafts.

KWM's role included dealing with appropriate licenses and consents, including US export controls, which enabled the exhibition artefacts to travel to Brisbane.

KWM is also working with Queensland Museum with registering trade marks in respect of its key brands, including SparkLab, the museum's interactive STEM space.

Brisbane partner, John Swinson, is particularly passionate about the work the firm is undertaking for the museum.

"It was challenging to ensure all the exhibits arrived on time for opening – especially the rocket fuel, which created interesting US export control issues during the Trump government shutdown," he said.

The exhibition runs until 9 October 2019 – and is truly out of this world. Find out more.
