King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised Destination Brisbane Consortium on the primary design and construction contract for the integrated resort development forming part of the $3.6 billion Queen's Wharf Brisbane Project.
The construction contract was formally executed last week with the contractor Multiplex, who were given preferred contractor status for the integrated resort development in April.
The integrated resort development includes approximately 370,000 square metres of floor area, with over 1000 hotel rooms, a new casino, VIP gaming and an elevated Sky Deck. At the peak of construction, there will be up to 10 tower cranes on the site.
Advising on the transaction was Brisbane-based construction partner, Shannon Etwell, who was supported by solicitor, Nicole Wieringa.
Commenting on the transaction, Shannon said: "We are delighted to have advised Destination Brisbane Consortium on this landmark project. Queen's Wharf Brisbane is an iconic development that will transform Brisbane's CBD."
