King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) is acting for Abacus Property Group in relation to its $200 million placement and a share purchase plan to raise up to $15 million.

Abacus Property Group is a diversified Australian REIT with an investment portfolio concentrated in the Self-Storage and Office sectors.

The KWM team advising Abacus Property Group on the transaction was led by special counsel Amanda Isouard and partner David Eliakim, with support from senior associate Stacey Stellatos and solicitor Hussein Kassouh.

Commenting on the transaction, David Eliakim said: "We are grateful to have worked with Abacus on this important transaction.  This is the second time that we have acted for Abacus on a capital raising, having also been involved in their $400 million entitlement offer in December 2020."

Amanda Isouard noted that “We hope that Abacus’ placement and share purchase plan will help with creating momentum for the launching of capital raisings by other issuers in the coming weeks.”
