King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has acted for Campbell Soup Company on the sale of Arnott's Biscuits and certain divisions of Campbell's international operations to international private equity firm KKR.
Definitive documentation in respect of the sale was signed late last week, after a competitive sale process lasting nearly twelve months.
Working in conjunction with Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, the KWM team acting on the sale was led by partners Nicola Charlston and Cate Nagy, together with partners David Friedlander and Sharon Henrick, senior associates Vineetha Veerakumar and Christopher Kok, and solicitor Ailsa Wallace.
The sale of Arnott's Biscuits follows Campbell's announcement last month of the sale of its Danish snack producer, Kelsen Group, to a Ferraro affiliated company.
KWM has a long standing relationship with Campbell Soup, having first acted for Campbell on its initial takeover offer for Arnott's in 1993.
