King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised KKR on its investment in one of the largest and fastest growing food and beverage focused operators in the Australian hospitality sector, with the private equity firm recently acquiring the majority stake in Dixon Hospitality.
The new partnership will see KKR support Dixon Hospitality's continued growth, positioning the group for long term success across its expanding portfolio of venues.
The KWM team was led by Partners Mark McNamara, Ros Anderson and Yuen-Yee Cho, supported by Special Counsel Alex Elser, Senior Associates Clifford Sandler and Joseph Power and Associates Nick Hawthorne, Dan Flanagan, Zoe Anderson, Samir Kinger and Ava Hancock.
Partner Ros Anderson said KKR's global operational expertise will be applied to support the business in its successful delivery of a differentiated dining experience to customers across the Australian market.
Dixon runs more than 40 high quality hospitality venues across Australia, mostly operating as stand-alone pubs, bars or restaurants with their own defined brand. It has grown through disciplined acquisition and brown field development of high-profile venues in Melbourne and Sydney, and has a focus on premium food and beverage offerings.
