King & Wood Mallesons expands in China with new Nanjing office

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has established its 12th office in China, expanding into the core regional market of Nanjing and enhancing the firm’s global platform to 27 offices.

KWM Nanjing will initially include five experienced partners, a senior counsel and associates. To meet client demand in the region, the office will primarily focus on securities and capital markets, SOE restructuring, cross-border M&A, financing and dispute resolution. 

KWM China Chairman, Zhang Yi commented; “Rooted in the Chinese market, KWM’s pioneering and forward-looking strategy in the core market is the key to our steady and healthy development”

“KWM Nanjing will work together with our Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou offices, along with the global KWM network, to meet our goal of providing tailored legal services for our clients to seize opportunities.”

The new office, which is officially scheduled to open in November 2017, demonstrates the firm’s ongoing commitment to providing a comprehensive legal offering to its client network in the Shanghai-centered Yangtze River Delta region and beyond.
