King & Wood Mallesons promotes Germán Cabrera to partner of the Madrid office

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has promoted Senior Associate Germán Cabrera to partnership. Germán, with over 15 years experience, specialises in Corporate and M&A, advising domestic and foreign companies on buy-outs, join ventures and corporate law.

During the last few months, Germán has led some of the most important KWM deals In Spain, such as the advice to First State Investments on the sale of a 15% stake of Regasificadora del Noroeste S.A. (Reganosa) to the Japanese company Sojitz Corporation. Other deals include advising Arelius Group on the acquisition of Abelan Board Industrial, a leading company in the packaging sector in Europe, and advising public institution Axis Participaciones Empresariales on all its investments and divestments in the private equity sector.
