Mr. Zhang Yongliang specializes in securities, mergers and acquisitions, and international investment.

He has participated in various listings of state-owned enterprises and start-up companies in China, Hong Kong, New York (on both the NYSE and NASDAQ), Singapore, Vancouver, and Australia. Projects for listed companies handled by Mr. Zhang include engagement in various industries including energy, automotives, steel manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, food, internet technologies, and software. He has extensive experience in handling overseas listings and private placements.

In the area of mergers and acquisitions, Mr. Zhang has participated in the conferences "Administrative Rules on Acquisition of Listed Companies" and the "Administrative Rules on Disclosure of Changes to Shareholding of Listed Companies" organized by the China Securities Regulatory Commission. As delegated by the CSRC, he participated in the drafting of supporting regulations for the Administrative Rules on the Acquisition of Listed Companies. He has extensive experience in the area of mergers and acquisitions involving listed companies. He provides comprehensive legal services throughout the transaction cycle, specializing in the design of complex deal structures.

Mr. Zhang now serves as a member of the Review Committee for M&A and Restructuring of listed Corporations under China Securities Regulatory Commission.

Work experience

Mr. Zhang Yongliang joined King & Wood Mallesons in 1997. He received his LL.B from the Law School of Renmin University of China , his first LL.M from the Law School of Peking University and his second LL.M from University of California at Berkeley. He was admitted as a Chinese lawyer in 1995.

He is proficient in Chinese and English.
