Meng Sheng (Simon)


Areas of practice

Mr. Meng is a highly regarded China transaction specialist. He specializes in cross-border M&A, direct investments and joint ventures in China. He also has significant experience in project development in China. Simon has advised numerous multinational corporations including building materials, automobile OEM and components, clean energy, elderly medicare, tourism, amusement parks and hotel management companies in relation to mergers and acquisitions transactions and joint venture projects.

Work experience

Mr. Meng joined King & Wood Mallesons in 2012. Prior to this, Mr. Meng had served as the leading China Projects and M&A partner at a “Magic Circle” UK firm from 2000 to 2012. He also worked at US law firms as partner and senior associate. Mr. Meng worked in various cities asParis, New York, Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Mr. Meng earned his LL.B. from the Law Department of Peking University in 1984; his LL.M. and PHD in Law from Bordeaux University in 1986 and 1989 respectively; and a second LL.M. from New York University, School of Law in 1992.

Mr. Meng is admitted to practice law in New York State and in France and he is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, English and French.
