On 6 February 2018, according to the 2018 rankings of leading trademark firms worldwide by Managing Intellectual Property (MIP), King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) was consecutively recognized as a Tier 1 firm in both trademark prosecution and trademark contentious in China for its outstanding performance. This again proves the KWM trademark team’s strong competitiveness and stable leading position in the market.
Another leading IP magazine Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) recently launched its 2018 edition of World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000 rankings, and KWM was ranked in the Gold Band for both “enforcement and litigation” and “prosecution and strategy” categories. It is the sixth year that KWM has topped the ranking list by this media. Additionally, KWM partners Li Zhongsheng, Shi Yusheng, Yang Xiaoli, Liao Fei, and Lin Jiuchu were listed in the Gold/Bronze Band in the two categories separately.
Recognized as the two most authoritative media in IP, MIP and IAM have kept doing extensive and in-depth research among thousands of enterprises and IP firms worldwide and provide regional leading trademark firm rankings each year. In their assessment, they take into consideration not only the clients’ feedback as a crucial factor, but also the firm’s work load, quality of work and the IP team’s overall capability.
Yang Xiaoli, head of KWM China trademark team said, “We are honored to once again be ranked as the top tier firm by both directories. In face of the fierce market competition, we will keep focusing on our quality services, pragmatic and creative approaches to help our clients find the best solutions to their problems related to their trademark management and protection efforts. With the most helpful resources from KWM platform, we are committed to be the long term trusted partners for all our clients.
